What Does Love Mean?

This question was posed to a group of 4 to 8 year olds. What does love mean? The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

1. When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandpa does it for her now all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.

2. When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouths.
Billy- age 4

3. Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving Cologne and they go out and smell each other.
Kari- age 5

4. Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.

5. Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.

6. Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.

12 During my piano recital, I was on stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore.

19. You really shouldn’t say I LOVE YOU unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.

A 4 year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly man who had just lost his wife. When the child saw the man cry, the little boy went over into the man’s yard and climbed on top of the man’s lap and just sat there. When the boy’s mother asked him what he’d said to the neighbor, the little boy said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry.”

比如今天我突然在衣柜里发现了一批我妈年轻的时候的衣服，十分尖儿！这批衣服估计怎么也得价值几千块钱。

你是那人间的四月天

今天晚上约见老胡之前去了趟书店。本来想找两本社工考试参考书，但却买了本《你是那人间的四月天》。我觉得我这书买的特别应景儿，但老胡却说我特别能整景儿。

前天，我问Flora五一还去草莓音乐节吗。她说今年有四个份子要随，肯定去不了了。我今年也得随份子。近期出现了结婚扎堆儿的趋势，太恐怖了。目前有两个切实可行的办法应对金融危机。一是趁早结婚，也争先恐后地把份子赚回来。二是压根不随份子。因为我计划29岁结婚，那年是2014年。作为一个世界末日爱好者，我怎么在2014年把份子要回来？但谁也不能保证2012就是世界末日，这个问题太严肃了。

明天去盛京医院参加 spiritual care workshop，也许能邂逅一个Mc. Dreamy一样的外科手术医生？

今天把这个下了，听了。

歌曲没什么特色，倒是介绍中有几句话特别好：

誠實地愛，我們能夠自由。

自由就是「活得如同自己想像一般」，追求自己無所畏懼的人生。

「誠實地愛」一樣是對人生態度的描述：對自己誠實，對自己愛的人誠實，這樣的人是自由的；他無所畏懼地面對自己對人生的看法，面對自己的榮譽與挫敗，同樣地，他希望愛的人能自由，所以寬容地對待他們。這是我們對人生的看法。
